About The Entry

This project represents a high-end residential design that transcends conventional landscape paradigms.

Its core concept originates from the idea of a "habitable living art museum"—not merely using art as decoration but drawing inspiration from the spatial narratives and spiritual realms embodied in world-class art museums (such as the philosophy of light in the Kimbell Art Museum and the sequential rituals of the Vatican Museum). This inspiration is reinterpreted and embedded within the urban context of Fengxian, Shanghai, and the Oriental natural imagery, thereby creating an artistic living model that integrates collection, exploration, and living experience.

In terms of design strategy, the project follows four immersive scenes of "Traversal—Exposition—Connection—Pause" as its main thread, meticulously organizing a complete garden tour route from the urban interface to the private garden. Through highly sculptural geometric compositions, precise control over natural and artificial light, and in-depth interpretations of rare materials, the landscape interface itself is transformed into an art collection.

The 5.3-meter-high vaulted light corridor reiterates the ceremonial sense of classical architecture in a contemporary manner, the 10-meter-high crystal light column, along with the sunken water court, creates a serene yet dramatic "Hall of Light"; geometric landscape walls and paving inspired by Scarpa's vocabulary create a continuous variation of light, shadow, and structure along the tour path. The integration of an Impressionist garden, a luxurious Shanghai-style gatehouse, and Oriental natural textures further demonstrates the project's precise balance between international artistic vision and local cultural temperament.

The core value lies in achieving a leap from "viewing art" to "dwelling within art."

It breaks through the boundaries between landscaping and functionalism in traditional high-end residences, transforming the landscape into a "spiritual realm" that provides solace for the spirit. It constructs a benchmark residential experience with international aesthetic height and Shanghai-style charm through unique material language, spatial rhythm, and cultural narratives. Ultimately, this project redefines the landscape paradigm of high-end residences with rigorous spatial logic, depth conceptual drive, and aesthetic expression, contributing an everlasting living art museum to the city.
