About The Entry

The dimensional framework of the Aerotrack Pants, calibrated for the 6–12 age bracket, originates in the anthropometric scan records of thousands of adolescents. The material architecture, which incorporates an 80/20 nylon–spandex woven matrix, sustains a precise equilibrium between abrasion resistance and maximal elastic recovery. Pattern engineering across 140 adolescent anatomical parameters defines the tapered-leg silhouette, while the streamlined hem closure aligns with the kinetic demands of running and jumping. The structural adaptation for campus athletic scenarios eliminates restrictive interference, a design parameter that directly optimizes youth athletic performance.

This design transcends static postures and follows natural skeletal growth patterns.

Joint Mobility Alignment: The pattern supports the primary ranges of motion for the hips (60 to 90 degrees), knees (80 to 120 degrees), and ankles (20 to 35 degrees).

Precision Patterning: The contoured knee construction, which accommodates high-frequency joint flexion, integrates a 3 cm ease allowance for sustained mobility. The crotch design, engineered with a 2-3 cm upward seam pitch and a minimum 3 cm structural depth, prevents binding. A targeted pressure-distribution layout across the lumbar and hip zones, synchronized with dynamic load pathways, facilitates systematic tension release during wide strides and jumping cycles. This dimensional configuration, which neutralizes constriction under high-stretch conditions, guarantees unrestricted range of motion.

Inspired by aquatic respiration, the design places curved aerodynamic vents at the knees.

Adaptive Closure: A dual-layer construction with integrated mesh creates an automatic climate control system. The panels seal during rest to block wind and separate during movement to release perspiration.

Rapid Moisture Management: Active motion naturally opens the vents to establish continuous airflow. This process quickly extracts heat and humidity from the knee area to maintain a consistently dry microclimate.
