Project Description :
Located in Sanxia, a district celebrated for its "Indigo Dyeing" heritage and the geographic convergence of three rivers, The Sanxia Confluence stands as a modern interpretation of local culture. In a high-density urban fabric, this 10-story residential tower harmonizes the hustle of the old street with the serenity of the riverbank.
The architectural form directly responds to the region’s weaving traditions. The facade features a rhythmic arrangement of vertical aluminum grilles. Like the threads of a loom, these elements create privacy while filtering sunlight into a soft glow. Visually, the vertical lines echo the flow of the nearby river, creating a "frozen aesthetic of movement."
Faced with a restricted site footprint, the design adopts a smart landscape strategy by elevating the courtyard garden. This vertical shift lifts the residents' vantage point above perimeter walls, allowing sightlines to extend beyond the site boundaries. This application of "borrowed scenery" connects the private community with the expansive green belt at the rear, defying the limitations of a small lot.
The rooftop terrace, designed as a "Sky Craft," offers panoramic views of the distant mountains, acting as an urban sanctuary. At night, the lighting emphasizes the structural ribs, transforming the building into a warm, glowing lantern—a beacon of home in the city.
