Stillness at Dusk

Stillness at Dusk is a residential proposal responding to the rhythm of contemporary living. Centered on the goal of creating a place where both body and mind can fully unwind, the design constructs a living space rich in warmth, interaction, and ease for the homeowners’ family. The color palette adopts soft milky brown tones, where off-white, warm gray, and light wood interlace to form the first sensation of comfort upon returning home.
The original three-bedroom layout was reorganized through a strategy of boundary-free integration, fully connecting the living room, dining area, and kitchen to concentrate social life at the core. One bedroom was transformed into a semi-open multifunctional study, where sliding glass doors mediate between openness and focus, balancing shared activities and solitude. Material choices emphasize warmth, with extensive use of light wood veneer and existing rose-white walls, achieving visual lightness while respecting the original structure and promoting environmental friendliness.
