About The Entry

Giving medication to children is tough for both parents and kids. Youngsters often resist medicine due to its taste, smell, or associated medical procedures, which can lead to non - compliance and affect treatment. Traditional persuasion methods like coercion or rewards may work short - term but harm the parent - child relationship and the child's view of medical treatment in the long run.

Bedtime storybooks are great for children's learning and emotional growth. This project focuses on kids with long - term respiratory diseases. It combines story illustrations, interactive medication - taking, and TCM breathing devices to solve pediatric medication problems. This innovative way makes taking medicine more acceptable, helps children overcome difficulties, and assists parents in guiding them, strengthening the parent - child bond.

Device design: Incorporate Chinese herbal medicines for respiratory diseases into paper - making as per traditional Chinese medicine. Fold the paper into a retractable device for children's breathing training.

Book design: Create an embedded breathing - training device like a toy on the first page. Let kids get it before reading and play with it during the process to lower their resistance to medicine. Also, embed the medicine box on the last page. After the story, kids can pick pills related to good or bad elements in the story, immersing in the roles.

Content design: Employ dynamic lines, imaginative shapes, high - saturation colors, and clear lines to create a relaxed atmosphere. Feature animals making exaggerated movements. To assist 5 - 8 - year - old kids in accepting drug treatment, design a story about a fat bee seeking self - worth. The story is not only goal - oriented but also educational for children's all - around development.

In future development, traditional Chinese medicine papers targeting different types of diseases can be produced, and versions suitable for various diseases can be added.

Alternatively, multiple story series can be developed from different perspectives to maintain the freshness and long - term appeal of the products.
