About The Entry
Millions of migrant workers leave home to build cities that rarely belong to them, while their families remain far away. Over time, communication often shrinks into brief phone calls, missed messages, and silent transfers of money. Connection becomes fragile.
Family Re:Union explores a different possibility: what if work itself could become a signal of presence?
By translating everyday work rhythms into gentle digital traces, the platform allows families to sense each other’s daily lives from afar. A completed shift becomes reassurance. A routine task becomes a moment of connection. Small signals accumulate into shared experiences.
The design combines workplace data, playful interaction, and a shared virtual environment where family members can communicate, collaborate, and grow together. Through simple signals rather than constant messaging, Family Re:Union transforms distance into a space where presence can still be felt.
