About The Entry

Le Clubhouse is conceived as a spatial stage, where light, circulation, and transformable mechanisms construct an immersive experience.

The curved openings are derived from the geometry of falling spotlight beams, translating light into architectural language. As light enters the space, the edges of these openings overlap with illumination, creating a strong sense of focus. From the exterior, individuals inside appear as if standing under a spotlight; from within, golfers outside are framed within the same field of light, establishing a reciprocal stage relationship between interior and exterior.

The space is designed to transform into a runway show environment. Adjustable hanging rails can be elevated and concealed within the white curved ceiling volume, allowing functional elements to seamlessly integrate into the spatial language when not in use; the two front counters are articulated through an amphitheater-inspired geometry, forming a spotlight-like focal composition. They can merge and shift to align with the rear bar, generating a golden-ratio curved axis that transforms the entire space into a continuous runway. The fitting rooms are conceived as a backstage area, where users emerge as if stepping onto a stage.

Additionally, suspended ceiling elements are integrated as a display system for seasonal fabrics, allowing materials to become part of the spatial composition. As these elements evolve over time, they reinforce the dynamic relationship between brand identity and space.

In response to existing site constraints, including water leakage and exposed piping, curved forms are introduced as a primary design language. These curves not only resolve technical limitations but also echo the geometry of the adjacent golf driving range greens. The floor incorporates a pattern referencing Taiwan’s first golf driving range bunker, embedding historical memory into the spatial experience.

This project redefines retail space as a performative system, where users are not consumers, but protagonists.
