About The Entry

Umber, white, and light-gray wood grains harmonize to create a composed, stable ambiance. Four types of stone, selected for distinct textures, create a layered sequence: the TV feature wall exudes grandeur with natural stone, while artificial terrazzo brings warmth to the counter surfaces. Stone veneer adds organic tactility to cabinetry; terrazzo tile wall behind the sofa provides visual clarity. United by similar color temperatures, these materials maintain an ordered balance. Glass bricks, ironwork, and patterned window grilles enhance the refined base with lightness and nostalgia, reflecting the homeowner’s distinct taste.

The layout positions the dining area as the emotional nexus of the entire residence. A horizontal storage-and-display unit, meticulously crafted from seven surface materials, including wire-brushed wood veneer and artificial terrazzo, serves as the functional core. This unit unifies the material variations through clean, sharp lines and similar textures that extend outward to other areas, creating a cohesive visual pulse throughout the home.

The dining table and chairs, selected by the homeowner, anchor the space and embody their vision and commitment to quality living. Around this focal point, carefully chosen materials with retro textures frame the vintage furniture, reinforcing a sense of continuity and intention.

The TV mount and low partition wall preserve transparency and fluidity in the communal space, allowing family members to perceive each other's presence across zones. Behind this wall, a semi-open reading niche uses light-toned timber shelving and seating to provide ample book storage and foster a warm, restorative atmosphere—transforming reading into a moment of mental sanctuary away from work.

From the initial planning stages, the design team integrated sustainability into the material selection process, prioritizing eco-friendly alternatives to reduce environmental impact. This philosophy extends beyond technical decisions into daily conversations with clients and technicians. Through continuous collaboration and practical exchange, we subtly transmitted awareness of environmental responsibility, ensuring that sustainability is not merely a design decision but an internalized belief put into collective practice.
