Positioned as a boutique private club, Jiarun One Residence responds to the relatively compact scale of the site by avoiding overly grand or expressive shared facility design. Instead, it adopts a more refined and restrained approach to create a space with the character of a private members’ club.
The overall design blends the sophistication of a luxury hotel with the exclusivity of a membership-based environment. A dark-toned palette forms the base, interwoven with black-and-white contrasts, metallic details, and touches of warm wood to establish a high-end yet understated first impression.
The first floor emphasizes formal reception, while the second floor transitions into a more relaxed and intimate social atmosphere, creating a spatial rhythm that unfolds gradually from arrival to stay.
Upon entering the corridor, the most striking feature is the digital art wall created in collaboration with an artist. It responds in real time to weather, wind direction, and environmental data, transforming daily natural conditions into ever-changing visual expressions. This transforms the act of returning home into an interactive sensory experience, rather than a simple passage through a corridor. To maintain openness, functional facilities such as mailboxes, parcel storage, and equipment are seamlessly integrated and concealed within the reception area. This subtraction-based approach results in a calm and composed arrival experience.
The second floor shifts toward a club-like experience, inspired by executive lounges. It incorporates bookshelves, a fireplace, long communal tables, and a bar, forming a multifunctional environment for reading, working, and socializing. Flexible projection and audiovisual systems are integrated, allowing the space to function as a quiet living extension during the day and transform into a shared venue for film viewing and gatherings at night.
