Tailored for 100km-level ultra-trail races, KAROMTEC Pro takes supercritical foaming technology as its core, setting a new performance benchmark by perfectly balancing lightweight design and enduring rebound.
The midsole is made from pure TPEE through a dual-gas, two-stage foaming process within a supercritical environment, featuring uniform pores and a density as low as 0.10 g/cm³. This expansion ratio far surpasses the conventional technical limits of TPEE and serves as the fundamental source of the midsole’s ultralight construction.
With a rebound rate of 64% and an energy return rate of 85%, KAROMTEC Pro provides consistent power feedback for every stride during long-distance trail running. The midsole boasts industry-leading fatigue resistance: after 100,000 cycles, it exhibits only a 2% compression set (still retaining a maximum impact deformation of 21.2 mm—only a marginal drop from the initial 21.7 mm), guaranteeing peak performance throughout an ultra-trail race.
In addition, the foaming process is free of chemical blowing agents, while the nitrogen used is sourced from the atmosphere and is fully recyclable, with zero production waste generated. TPEE itself is non-toxic, allowing the midsole to fully return to the natural cycle at the end of its life.
