Grounded in the profound aesthetics of the Song Dynasty, this project captures the core essence of "Simplicity, Elegance, Serenity, and Stillness," weaving the timeless spirit of the ancient literati into a contemporary hospitality space. From the moment you step through the entrance, an artistic journey begins—distilling a Song Dynasty "celestial mountain" within the heart of the modern city.

The Ritual of Inverse Growth

The welcome area features a striking "Inverted Tree" installation that defies natural boundaries. Inspired by the philosophy of "Round Heaven and Square Earth," the suspended green pine is more than a visual centerpiece; it is a contemporary deconstruction of traditional penjing (bonsai) artistry.

A Poetic Corridor of Ripples and Light

Look up to find the moon; look down to see the shimmering water. Utilizing "Water-ripple Metal Panels," the ceiling captures the dance of light and shadow, transforming the corridor into a serene, reflective pool. Every step is a dialogue between the external atmosphere and the inner soul.

Step Into a Living Masterpiece

Through the "leaked views" of black lattice screens, the space unfolds in delicate layers. With every turn, one experiences an unexpected encounter with art, reminiscent of the sophisticated scholarly gatherings (Yaji) found in ancient scrolls.

The Craft of "Separation without Isolation"

Begonia-shaped mirrors frame a sense of warmth, while rotating aluminum screens unfurl like a traditional Chinese handscroll. Between the rhythm of "opening and closing," we bring to life the classic Oriental architectural concept of "shifting scenes with every step."

A Sacred Space for Blessings and Fulfillment

The shrine features a bespoke ceiling adorned with Dragon and Phoenix panels, centered by the character "Fu" (Blessing). Prosperity seems to flow from above, harmonizing with the vigorous vitality of Dragon Juniper bonsai to establish a grounded, auspicious, and peaceful atmosphere.
