About The Entry
This collection interprets Eastern aesthetic culture through contemporary design thinking, drawing inspiration from traditional artifacts, totems, and symbols of Chinese civilization. Central to the design is the ancient auspicious cloud pattern, a symbol of harmony between man and nature, good fortune, and evolving beauty. Frequently seen in Dunhuang murals and associated with flying apsaras, the cloud motif embodies elegance, grace, and cultural heritage.
By restructuring traditional cloud patterns with minimalist techniques, the collection offers a full range of jewelry styles, including earrings, rings, bracelets, chokers, and necklaces. An innovative concept of interchangeable decorative accents allows natural gemstones to be freely swapped, enabling wearers to personalize color combinations, adapt to different occasions, and express cultural symbolism.
The design promotes long-termism and sustainability in contrast to fast fashion. Jewelry is conceived as a living, evolving entity: replaceable gemstones, renewable meanings, and deepening emotional connections over time. The treasure basin motif is deconstructed into two visual layers: a supporting structure representing inclusiveness, and gemstone-embeddable modules reflecting replaceability and growth. Each gemstone corresponds to life energies, such as health, vitality, emotional healing, career, wealth, blessings, and courage.
Materials include silver-plated copper for ductility and recyclability, paired with natural semi-precious stones using cabochon cutting. The modular system extends the lifespan of each piece, allowing the main body to accompany the wearer for decades or a lifetime, embodying the Eastern philosophy of cherishing objects: one vessel, multiple uses, enduring value.
