About The Entry
This project redefines the dining experience by merging a foundation of traditional Japanese culture with the bold aesthetics of the Y2K era. This striking juxtaposition creates a retro-futuristic tone, offering guests a refreshing culinary journey.
Breaking away from a monolithic layout, the spatial planning introduces layered zoning. The ceiling features grilles that echo the structural beams of traditional Japanese architecture, while an array of lanterns cultivates a vibrant, market-like atmosphere. The dining areas use low-profile booths to enrich the spatial hierarchy. Every zone reinforces the brand’s DNA—from the signature feature wall and the abstracted “treasure box” motif to linear elements that guide the eye, fostering an immersive ambiance of a bustling Japanese alleyway. Highly recognizable cultural symbols, including sumo wrestler illustrations, Mount Fuji silhouettes, and Ukiyo-e art, are artistically reinterpreted, infusing traditional iconography with a modern sensibility.
The material palette is defined by tension and contrast. High-saturation colored titanium plates, precision-applied via digital baking finishes, are calibrated across walls and cabinetry to create dynamic visual shifts. This metallic form engages with the rugged texture of tiles and antique finishes, balancing bold, futuristic energy with a sense of raw authenticity.
Sustainability and efficiency underpin the entire project. A curated material palette minimizes waste, with surplus materials carefully stored for future use in upcoming brand locations. Lighting is managed through an intelligent LED control system, designed to reduce energy consumption and streamline long-term upkeep.
