Located in Datong, China — an ancient capital rich in cultural heritage — the project reinterprets regional identity through a contemporary lens, creating a dialogue between tradition and the future. The design continues the integrated language of architecture and landscape, seamlessly blending interior, architecture, and nature while expressing a sense of grandeur through modern aesthetics.

Guided by the concept of “origin and symbiosis,” the project draws inspiration from local culture, transforming historical memory into immersive spatial experiences that resonate with contemporary lifestyles. Positioned as an exclusive luxury retreat above the clouds, it combines international design vision with Eastern heritage to explore a new paradigm of future living.

The architecture resembles a luxury cruise ship anchored within the city’s landscape, while the interiors take inspiration from cruise ship structures. Through fluid spatial sequences, layered circulation, and immersive scenography, the project creates a refined voyage-like experience that redefines luxury living in Datong.
