Rooted in a foundation of modern minimalism, the design fuses the warmth of natural materials to form a tranquil yet inviting spatial character. The quartz countertop—chosen for its heat and scratch resistance—accommodates the homeowner’s tea rituals and frequent gatherings.

The decorative feature wall between the living and dining areas stands as the project’s most distinctive highlight. The designer introduced a new wall section between the dual windows to connect the two spaces, using a combination of wood-grain panels and painted finishes to echo the overall aesthetic. Lighting both above and below the wall enhances the surface’s texture while visually linking the open-plan area, adding continuity and depth. This wall serves as a focal point upon entry, infusing the expansive public space with warmth and compositional coherence—a minimalist, trendy landscape within the home.

To accommodate gatherings and group activities, the circulation pattern follows a figure-eight shape. The measured spacing between the dining table and sofa ensures comfort and freedom of movement, creating a seamless flow that allows family and guests to interact naturally. The designer equipped the kitchen island with an induction cooktop, a water purifier, and an instant hot-water heater, which marvelously enables tea preparation without returning to the kitchen, thereby fulfilling an intuitive integration of function and lifestyle.

The relocation of the secondary bedroom door toward the private zone allows for a folding door at the threshold between the public and private areas, thereby preserving privacy and preventing inadvertent entry into the private space by guests. In the master suite, motion-activated night lighting extends from the bedhead to the bathroom, offering safe nighttime navigation for older individuals while maintaining an undisturbed environment for others, implementing a thoughtful gesture of quiet care woven into daily life.

Guided by an ethos of environmental sustainability, the design employs certified green materials, energy-efficient appliances, and high-performance LED fixtures. Maximized natural light to create a soft and balanced luminance, reducing energy consumption.
