About The Entry
The Hung Shui Kiu / Ha Tsuen New Development Area Community Liaison Centre (HSK CLC) represents a transformative approach to civic space design, commissioned by the Civil Engineering and Development Department of the HKSAR Government. Moving beyond static government showrooms, this dynamic hub facilitates early stakeholder communication regarding massive urban development. Guided by the core theme "To Gather To Glow" (匯聚・綻放), the centre's design physically manifests the gathering force of the community and the vibrant future of the area. Visitors are welcomed by the "Harmony Tree" (共融樹), a striking art installation in the atrium that modernizes the traditional local culture of gathering under a village tree. The interior experience seamlessly blends high-tech innovation with local heritage to achieve "Urban-Rural Integration" (城鄉共融). Key features include a panoramic sandtable model of the New Development Area, an immersive 3D Naked Eye LED wall, and an Urban-Rural Integration Feature Wall showcasing traditional local village life. Interactive exhibits, such as the experiential Smart Green Mass Transit System display and an innovative tech zone featuring robotic arms, replace passive information with engaging experiences. By integrating flexible multi-purpose social spaces under the Tuen Ma Line viaduct, the HSK CLC tightens the social fabric during a period of transition, serving as a vibrant window into Hong Kong's future while actively celebrating its past.
