Crystal Forest - Transparent Micro LED Spatial Experience

Crystal Forest is AUO’s main stage built on transparent Micro LED display, using layered stacking to create permeable spatial depth. As a technology translation interface, it demonstrates how display shifts from a viewed surface to an environmental element that coexists with space rather than blocking it.

The system leverages high brightness, contrast, color saturation, and transparency to maintain image clarity under strong ambient light. A venue-scale tiled array and modular architecture enable scalable deployment and long-term stable operation.

“Crystal” represents transparency and layered light, while “Forest” defines a repeatable, extensible modular structure. Content follows a sequence from visual interface evolution to digital media, then to scenarios in retail, public space, and mobility, reflecting AUO’s vision of human-centric and immersive spatial experiences.

A modular, demountable, reusable aluminum extrusion system supports both structure and spatial expression while reducing one-time construction. As a deployable system, it demonstrates the feasibility of transparent Micro LED display in real environments, translating the technology into a clear and sustainable spatial medium.
