Wan Tong Intelligent Control Clubhouse Design

This project represents a profound endeavor to infuse modern rooftop spaces with the fluid, refined elegance of traditional Jiangnan aesthetics. Centered around the conceptual imagery of a “Grand Estate Hidden in Seclusion,” the design establishes an inward-looking, tranquil sanctuary at the pinnacle of the bustling city through a disciplined order. Beyond mere physical construction, it serves as a modern reimagining of Eastern sophistication and reclusive lifestyles.

Capitalizing on the rooftop’s elevation changes and expansive vistas, the design unfolds into a tripartite progression. This spatial sequence transitions seamlessly from an intimate Living Garden, through a traditional Wandering Garden, and culminates in a Waterfall Courtyard. Through the elevation of the perimeter walls, a transitional threshold is naturally formed at the entrance. This allows sightlines to pierce through rugged rock formations and flowing waterfalls, offering fleeting glimpses of pavilions, bridges, and ponds. Embracing the classical philosophy of “perceiving vastness within the miniature,” this approach liberates the spatial volume while imbuing the circulation path with a strong sense of ritual and visual tension.

In establishing its aesthetic order, a central water curtain acts as the primary axis, gracefully unfolding a narrative of Chinese symmetrical beauty. The color palette features dark undertones punctuated by striking accents of crimson red. As natural light dances across the landscape, the juxtaposition of rough basalt stone and the luster of Prada Green marble shatters the monotony of traditional palettes, creating a breathtaking sensory collision.

With “framed viewing” as its core philosophy, the design adopts curated spatial openings and borrowed scenery techniques to foster a deeply resonant dialogue between humanity and nature. Essential functional elements are discreetly concealed within textured walls, while winding pathways serve to softly dissolve the boundaries between spaces. Ultimately, the distinctions between interior and exterior, as well as movement and stillness, melt away into a seamless harmony—guided by the gentle interplay of light, yet transcending mere visual aesthetics. This ensures that every moment spent here becomes an elegant return to Eastern lifestyle philosophies.
