Parameter-Bound Digital Product Passport

Parameter-Bound Digital Product Passport transforms traditional batch-based traceability into a trusted digital infrastructure for modern manufacturing.

Most manufacturers still rely on batch-level records, making investigations slow and limiting visibility across the supply chain. To address this challenge, Chung Hua Plastic Industry developed a proprietary parameter-bound architecture that assigns a unique digital identity to every product and permanently links it to manufacturing parameters, inspection results, operator records, and production history.

By integrating Industrial IoT (IIoT), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), AI-enabled inspection, robotics, and real-time production data, the platform creates a searchable Digital Product Passport for every individual unit. Manufacturers can quickly verify product history, identify affected products, improve process control, and strengthen compliance readiness.

The platform currently generates more than 300,000 Digital Product Passports per month and has reduced traceability investigation time from approximately two hours to ten minutes in live production environments.

Beyond operational efficiency, the platform establishes a foundation for trusted manufacturing data, product authentication, regulatory readiness, and future Digital Product Passport initiatives across global supply chains.

Recognized internationally through the CES Picks Awards 2026, selection as a Finalist in the 2026 Manufacturing Leadership Awards, and recognition by the Supply Chain Asia Awards 2026, the project demonstrates how Digital Product Passports can move beyond compliance requirements and become practical infrastructure for transparent, resilient, and data-driven manufacturing.
