Human-Light Interactive Starview Walkway

As a core supporting landscape of Wuxi Symphony Hall, the lighting design takes composing music with light as its original concept. Light rhythms echo musical melodies to create immersive human-light interaction. Visitors scan QR codes to customize light colors, turning the walkway into luminous notes and redefining traditional landscape lighting.

Combining the bridge’s curved shape and pedestrian flow, the project pioneers a free chase-light mode with no fixed trigger points or movement restrictions. Our self-developed multi-directional smart system integrates Bluetooth sensors, control modules and DMX512. It captures pedestrian speed and paths within milliseconds to eliminate lag and stutter. Diverse light effects are triggered by stopping, turning back or slow walking, perfectly matching symphonic rhythms.

To adapt to the curved structure, customized 300mm light fixtures are recess-mounted with asymmetric light distribution. The design ensures functional illumination, preserves the bridge’s original streamline and facilitates maintenance. All electrical devices are concealed. Strict construction and cost control balance system stability, landscape integrity and cost efficiency. Aligned with the hall’s artistic style, the rhythmic dynamic lighting extends its artistic vibe and builds a distinctive urban landmark.
