About The Entry

Eurus Forest Christmas Candle Collection is a three-piece set designed to bring the feeling of an evergreen forest into urban homes. During winter, city residents may have fewer opportunities to spend time in green spaces, so the collection uses natural scent, form, and sustainable packaging to create a woodland experience indoors. Each candle is shaped like an evergreen tree, transforming a household object into a reminder of the natural landscape. The main feature of the design is its integrated packaging. Rather than treating each box as a disposable container, I designed the three packages as parts of one continuous Christmas woodland scene. When placed side by side, the boxes connect to form a landscape, while the tree-shaped candles stand within it like a forest. The set becomes a decorative display before any candle is lit and continues to shape the atmosphere while the candles are in use. This relationship between product and packaging encourages customers to keep the boxes, arrange the candles together, and experience the collection as one environment instead of three separate objects. Opening the set becomes a visual journey from the city into an imagined winter woodland. The packaging also gives the product a second life. A piece of seed paper containing flower or herb seeds is hidden inside each package. After the candle has been used, its container can be filled with soil and reused as a planter for the seeds. Instead of ending as waste, the candle becomes a place where new life can grow. This action completes the idea behind the collection: nature is recreated through the product, then returned through planting. The three fragrances add another layer to the woodland scene. Fresh pine, warm timber, earthy resin, and seasonal spices were tested so that each candle creates a mood while blending with the others. Plant-based wax and natural or low-impact fragrance ingredients support the purpose of the design.
