Lidu boasts China’s oldest underground cellar complex (a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level) that dates back to the Yuan Dynasty, and its ancient brewing craftsmanship has been listed as part of Jiangxi’s Intangible Cultural Heritage. This packaging design creates a cross-disciplinary visual translation of two of ancient China’s great achievements in systematic craftsmanship: Yuan Dynasty cellars and movable-type printing. It invites users, through the ritual of purchasing and tasting, to pay tribute to China’s rich brewing and printing heritage.

The cap employs embossed 3D Chinese characters arranged in an array, which echoes the layout logic of movable-type printing, allowing civilization to be “touched.” The base is reminiscent of the stacked bricks typically found in ancient cellars, accented with a golden coating. It firmly supports the entire bottle, symbolizing the solid historical foundation of Lidu Baijiu rooted in the Yuan Dynasty cellar complex. Breaking away from convention, the bottle body incorporates meticulously sculpted sleek curves, complemented by exquisite gilded lines with a delicate, natural texture, vividly conveying the upscale position of the product as “liquid gold.” In terms of color selection, a vintage gilded gold with a time-worn patina dominates the palette, exuding a luxurious yet restrained sculptural quality amidst the interplay of light and shadow. The slanted label resembles a museum artifact seal, elevating the product’s status as a collectible cultural masterpiece. In addition, the outer wooden box places the product information on its side and features an innovative window display. Upon opening, the product is showcased like a prized exhibit, with the interior mirroring its radiant luster, seamlessly blending artistic presentation with ritualistic unboxing.
