Dimensional Symphony

"Dimensional Symphony" responds to the owners' vision of a retirement home, three-generation co-living, and a scale suitable for hosting guests. Through linear order, layers of light and shadow, and material rhythms, the space composes a grand and cohesive family residence.

The designer reorganized the originally short and segmented layout, connecting the living room, dining and kitchen area, Japanese-style room, and multi-functional space into a longitudinal axis. Consequently, visitors can feel the progressively unfolding grandeur of the space along the wood veneer facade, titanium-plated lines, and mirror reflections the moment they enter. After adjusting the living room's orientation, it no longer turns its back on the window view; instead, it incorporates the wooden deck, lawn, and tree shadows outside the floor-to-ceiling windows into the daily field of vision. The foldable windows behind the sofa can be fully retracted, allowing the dining, kitchen, and living areas to freely switch between open and closed states.

Large areas of solid wood veneer establish a warm foundation, while marble focal points and metallic details act as the high notes in a musical movement, adding refined layers to the space. The second floor also continues the longitudinal circulation, integrating the master bedroom, study, and walk-in closet functions to make the private area more comprehensive.
