Young Urban Mansion, Xi'an

Located in the core cultural and commercial district of Fengdong New City, Xi’an, the project benefits from strong regional connectivity, positioned adjacent to high-speed rail and metro hubs and serving as a key urban gateway node that shapes the district's first impression.

Addressing the challenges of high pedestrian density and complex circulation, the design adopts a human-centered approach to systematically organize vehicular access, pedestrian movement, and gathering spaces. Through the integration of circulation systems, the project achieves a clear, safe, and efficient spatial structure, improving both traffic performance and the overall user experience within the site.

Building upon this functional framework, the design introduces the concept “Pine Isles, Myriad Visions,” drawing inspiration from the pine forest culture of ancient Chang’an. A continuous urban interface of over 300 meters is created, where layered pine landscapes are arranged in a staggered composition, establishing a calm yet expressive spatial edge between city and site.

The landscape translates the artistic sensibility of classical Chang’an imagery into a contemporary language, integrating natural planting, spatial sequencing, and visual continuity to form an immersive urban frontage rooted in Eastern aesthetic tradition.

With circulation optimization, ecological planting, and cultural reinterpretation, the project establishes a contemporary urban landscape that balances functional efficiency with cultural identity, redefining the experience of a high-density urban gateway environment.
