Xirun Mansion, Heze

Located in Juye County, Heze, Shandong Province, China, the project adopts a modern oriental elegant luxury style with the design concept of “Oriental Gathering, Mountain and Stream Feast.” Drawing inspiration from the landscape imagery of Journey Through Mountains and Streams and the cultural essence of West Garden Gatherings, the design establishes a ceremonial spatial framework of “Two Axes, One Ring, and Nine Gardens.”

Rooted in contemporary interpretations of Eastern aesthetics, the design simplifies complexity and integrates classical landscape principles with modern living scenarios. Mountains and water are used to shape scenery, courtyards define spatial order, and layered scenes enrich everyday life, translating the spirit of traditional literati culture into a contemporary residential experience that is perceptible, interactive, and livable.

The overall material palette is composed of deep brown, dark gray, and bronze tones, complemented by off-white stone, creating a calm and refined atmosphere. High-quality materials such as Fuding black granite, off-white clay stone, bronze metal panels, and translucent marble are widely used to highlight refined detailing and construction precision.

Native tree species, including Chinese tallow tree, Chinese hackberry, and ginkgo, are introduced to create a seasonal landscape throughout the year. A circular jogging track and multi-generational activity spaces further enhance usability and community engagement, balancing ecological value with daily functionality.

Site grading is carefully resolved through lightweight fill replacement and elevated roof techniques, ensuring structural safety while maintaining landscape continuity. The project achieves a balanced integration of landscape quality, functional performance, ecological strategy, and construction feasibility.
