ICC SIRIUS

The project explores a contemporary interpretation of Italian minimalism, creating a refined residential environment through the balanced relationship between space, materials, and natural light. Located within a vibrant urban context, the design seeks to establish a sense of tranquility and privacy while maintaining a connection with the surrounding city, achieving a harmonious balance between urban vitality and residential comfort.

Rather than relying on excessive decoration, the interior follows the principle of “less is more,” allowing material textures, spatial proportions, and craftsmanship details to become the primary expressions of the design. Natural stone forms the foundation of the space, bringing architectural strength through its unique textures and geometric qualities. Warm wood finishes, leather surfaces, brass details, and seamless curved microcement elements introduce softness, depth, and refinement, creating a layered yet restrained interior atmosphere.

The design reinterprets minimalism through the interaction of curves, materials, and craftsmanship. A seamless curved microcement ceiling system softens architectural boundaries and creates fluid spatial transitions, while vertical wood textures, geometric stone surfaces, and precisely detailed metal profiles establish a sophisticated visual hierarchy. Through careful control of proportion and material coordination, the project demonstrates that minimalism is not simply the reduction of elements, but the creation of richness through precision and balance.

Large floor-to-ceiling windows introduce abundant natural light and panoramic urban views, while also presenting challenges such as noise, excessive sunlight, and visual interference. To address these issues, the design integrates acoustic optimization and lighting control strategies. Solid wood panels and high-density leather surfaces enhance acoustic comfort, while adjustable shading systems regulate daylight intensity and maintain visual connection with the exterior environment.

Sustainability is embedded throughout the design process through responsible material selection, durability, and energy-conscious strategies. Low-emission finishes, environmentally friendly materials, and natural resources with reduced environmental impact contribute to a healthier indoor environment. Durable materials such as stone, wood, and metal extend the lifespan of the interior and reduce future renovation waste. Soft indirect lighting and optimized daylight utilization further improve energy efficiency, creating a timeless residential space that combines aesthetic quality, functional performance, and environmental responsibility.
