VenTessa — An Architecture That Breathes
As cities become denser, buildings trap more heat and suppress natural airflow, intensifying the urban heat island effect. VenTessa reimagines the facade as a living environmental interface—one that does not simply shield the building, but actively breathes, cools, and grows.
Its three-dimensional tessellated geometry creates Venturi channels, drawing and accelerating air through the facade. At the same time, bioreceptive concrete provides a habitat for moss, whose transpiration releases latent heat and supports ecological cooling.
Here, geometry guides the wind, moss transforms heat, and architecture becomes an active part of the urban ecosystem.
Constructed through modular components, VenTessa combines airflow, material, vegetation, and habitat within a single adaptive system. It offers a new vision for urban facades—one that can reduce heat, improve environmental comfort, and create small ecological niches within dense cities.
VenTessa is more than a facade.
It is a surface that breathes with the city.
