LANZHOU JADE APARTMENTS

Centered on the concepts of a "three-dimensional green valley" and "vertical forest," this project draws inspiration from Lanzhou’s urban context to transcend the limitations of traditional flat landscaping, creating an urban forest living environment where architecture and nature coexist in harmony. Leveraging the site's characteristics, the design establishes a 270-degree panoramic "green valley" interface. Using the forest as a spatial foundation, it translates the aesthetic of mountain woodlands into the community interior; through multi-layered vertical greenery, terraced valley features, and vertical plantings, it forms a multidimensional forest system spanning from ground level to sunken areas, effectively dissolving the rigid boundaries of the architecture.

Fluid landscape pathways serve as the connective tissue, organically linking diverse scenarios—such as forest-floor relaxation, social gatherings, all-age activities, and tranquil strolls—thereby integrating the forest experience into the daily homecoming journey. Balancing ecological integrity with practical livability, the design allows residents to traverse layers of lush greenery and embrace an immersive forest atmosphere at the city's core. It creates a living environment where one sees the forest upon opening a window and steps into the valley with a short walk, ultimately redefining the nature-oriented lifestyle for contemporary urban dwellers in Lanzhou.
