JINFU Bridge Lighting Design

Jinfu Bridge is a modern steel box girder bridge spanning the Haihe River. With the core concept of “Light Empowers, Reimagining the Waterfront Landmark”, its nightscape lighting design creates a new paradigm of urban nightscape that integrates aesthetic value and functional performance from four perspectives: color, structure, traffic, and landscape.

The lighting design features deep blue as the main color, accurately echoing the natural texture of the Haihe River and forming a visual dialogue between the bridge lighting and the shimmering water. Dynamic full-color light flows slowly along the truss railings, simulating the rhythm of undulating waves, making the bridge like a “ribbon on the water” at night, achieving a harmonious atmosphere of “unity of water and sky” and enhancing the immersion of the waterfront space.

Precision wash lighting highlights the linear rhythm and detailed texture of the steel truss railings. The bottom of the box girder is illuminated with diffuse white light to eliminate dark areas, allowing light and shadow to follow the structure and highlight the architectural aesthetics of the modern bridge.

While satisfying landscape performance, the design fully considers traffic functions. Through precise light control and optical design, glare interference to vehicle drivers is effectively avoided. Low-brightness, high-CRI lighting is applied on pedestrian walkways to ensure safe nighttime pedestrian passage.

From aerial, eye-level and riverside viewpoints, the lighting effect maintains a minimalist and restrained aesthetic expression. Linear light strips outline the elegant contour of the bridge, and dynamic color lighting injects vitality. With its neat and elegant form echoing the urban skyline along the Haihe River, Jinfu Bridge has been upgraded from a transportation facility to an urban public artwork, becoming a “modern night pearl” on the Haihe River with both functionality and attractiveness.
