About The Entry

Fujifilm Smile Land is a people-centric workplace interior designed for Fujifilm Singapore, transforming two office floors into an uplifting environment where collaboration, connection and productivity come naturally.

Inspired by Fujifilm’s purpose, “Giving our world more smiles,” the design translates this philosophy into a vibrant yet functional workplace experience. Rather than treating happiness as a decorative theme, the project embeds well-being into the spatial planning, material palette, lighting and daily movement of employees throughout the office.

Supporting a combined workforce of close to 500 people across Levels 7 and 8, the workplace brings together open workstations, flexible collaboration zones, technology-enabled meeting rooms, private focus spaces and communal social areas. Adaptable furniture and operable partitions allow spaces to transition easily between focused work, team discussions, learning sessions and larger gatherings.

At the heart of Level 7 is a distinctive bar and pantry overlooking the Singapore cityscape. During office hours, it functions as an energising social hub; in the evening, warm ambient lighting transforms it into a relaxed setting for informal gatherings. Lush greenery, natural textures and a dynamic ceiling feature introduce movement and vitality, reflecting Fujifilm’s progressive and innovative identity.

Throughout the office, carefully layered colours help employees intuitively recognise different settings and modes of work. Vibrant accents stimulate creativity in collaborative areas, while softer timber tones, planting and natural light create calm, welcoming spaces for restoration and connection. Curved architectural details further soften the workplace and reinforce a sense of openness and flow.

Fujifilm Smile Land demonstrates how workplace interior design can communicate corporate purpose while responding to the practical needs of a large, diverse workforce. The result is a flexible, human-centred Singapore office that strengthens employee well-being, encourages meaningful interaction and turns Fujifilm’s promise of creating more smiles into a tangible everyday experience.
