WDS SPACE OFFICE

Centered on the core concept of “design is daily life”, this project reconstructs WDS Space’s new office headquarters in Shanghai. Abandoning the rigid and enclosed layout of traditional offices, it adopts an open and transparent pattern. Smooth circulation integrates office collaboration, business negotiation, brand exhibition and leisure social functions, weakening spatial boundaries and creating a diverse and modern workplace. The design refines the collocation of materials, colors and lighting. Low-saturation light hues establish a neat and advanced spatial tone. Warm wood veneers create texture contrast with micro-cement floors, while black metal trims sort out the spatial structure. Local red brand elements enrich the visual hierarchy. Adopting a no-main-lamp lighting system, the space combines soft diffused lighting with natural daylight to eliminate workplace oppression and build a soft and transparent light atmosphere. The central leisure area takes the billiards table as a social carrier to break workstation isolation and empower team interaction. The integrated brand display wall realizes exhibition and storage in one, strengthening brand narrative through wall-washing lights. Reconfigurable modular furniture adapts to diverse scenarios, balancing office efficiency and humanistic comfort. With minimalist and restrained design language, the project balances practicality, spatial aesthetics and brand temperament, interpreting the ideal contemporary workplace for design teams.
