About The Entry

MindForge is a modular magnetic fidget toy designed for adolescents who are prone to anxiety and rumination under academic pressure. Built around the concept of "breaking the rumination loop," it guides users to externalize chaotic thoughts through continuous actions such as folding, assembling, reconstructing, and magnetic attachment. By engaging hands and focus, it helps shift attention and rebuild inner order for gentle, lasting emotional relief.

MindForge consists of modular magnetic units. Beyond traditional free building, it introduces foldable and deformable structures that encourage creative exploration. Magnetic polarity naturally aligns disordered pieces into parallel order, using repetitive tactile operations and visual feedback to shift the user's attention and extend the soothing experience.

MindForge features a light blue acrylic shell with built-in circular magnets and transparent hinges. A single module measures only 3 × 3 × 1.2 cm, making it compact and portable. It fits seamlessly into class breaks, dorm life, bedtime routines, and study pauses, offering tactile comfort whenever needed.

More than a toy, MindForge serves as a portable desktop tool for emotional regulation. Through simple interaction, it helps teenagers return to the present and break the cycle of overthinking.
