Gurney Food Hall is an F&B project by CapitaLand Malaysia Mall REIT Management Sdn. Bhd. located in one of their Shopping Malls in Penang, Malaysia. The retail space required in-depth and complex conversion to be used as a full scale F&B zone. The layout which needs to include a specific numbers of units, mini restaurants, seating capacity and others requirements was completed without compromising the maximum ceiling height of the public space of the Food Hall.

Penang being one of the most important entrepôt in South East Asia, have many different elements within its Island. Starting with the Esplanade that symbolize the seaside, The Port that symbolize the trading market, the Industrial zone of Bayan Lepas, all the way back to the natural greeneries of the Parks and the Hills.
With the initial design direction of Modern Colonial, the concept has spun into a richer concept by focusing on the cores of Penang.
The Food Hall has received varieties of detailing based on elements from respective areas. Each areas symbolize important landmark in Penang, which enrich and progressed the town. The areas are the following:
