WonYue City

Located in China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City in Guangzhou, the project takes inspiration from the legendary Chinese gardens. The masterplan is divided into five interconnected zones, offering visitors a different view with every step they take – the essence of traditional Chinese landscape design. With meticulous circulation planning, extended routings can be designed to generate a spectacular range of scenic attractions in the smallest of spaces. The architecture of this project takes inspiration from the dynamic splash of water produced by a passing yacht, with vertical beams looking like books on the shelf forming a rhythmic curve on the façade. The design explores the visual possibilities of simple geometric forms, even triggering delightful imaginations of refreshing sea breezes. To achieve a clean, smooth contour, a combination of super white glass and printed glass panels is used, carefully separated by choice components.
