Sky Arc Garden

Building, far from simply being a living space nowadays, shoulders a vital mission to address the conflict between mankind and environment in the 21st century, which means it should strike a balance with the surrounding environment. The owner of the Sky Arc Garden, a high-rise house with a pool, also seeks to be close to nature. In an attempt to cut energy consumption as much as possible, more than 12m2 of solar panels are installed in acceptable areas to convert light energy into 7.5KW of electricity, and plenty of plants are grown inside to emit more oxygen into the city. The biggest challenge in design was to integrate a great many living demands into the curved elements that the owner favors to create a beauty of order. Designers chose the golden spiral to form smooth curves and soft lines, creating a layered style as well as guaranteeing the functions. It reflects not only the modernist beauty that values function, but also the post-modern beauty that stresses emotion. In addition, materials used are much more friendly to the environment, free from too much decoration, such as the light which is always in lockstep with minimalist lifestyle and aesthetics.
