We weight difference more than many things in design. Luckily enough, the lovely Zhang couple are in line with us, offering their utmost support to us to be creative.
To find a slow-paced place in such a metropolitan like Shenzhen isn’t an easy thing, we chose Shekou as a first option for its relative freedom and then located in the creative park, detouring the city’s hustle and bustle. It provides not only a stop to drink coffee, but a wonderful spot to see the sunrise and sunset, see sage grass swaying in soft wind and rest with your beloved pet.
Professional designing method is surely one of our major concern, while we have longly figuring how to build a wonderful experience for customers. Out of this need, we prioritized the confusion of the sphere and people, hoping who’s in here can feel comfortable and free rather than build this place as a delicate but cold design product.
We put much effort in the bar spacing, indoor card seats, outdoor view and mobility of the windows, make sure they are visually pleasing and convenient in use.
The place was originally an abandoned glass factory, redesigning it is a cultural and creative work.
We tore down the old walls and rebuilt the elevation into a brand new ‘green box’. Large folding windows were adopted for the front elevation, which can introduce the out view into indoors and even the soft breeze when full opening, which can also keep out typhoon or high temperature in summer when closed.
Meantime, we chose galvanized plate multilayer board as basic materials while did material processing to elevate the quality, succeeded in both construction effect and budget control.
For example, the galvanized plates were made more dense and uniformed in thickness during the electrolysis process, and multilayer boards were press fit with resin composite to be more anti-fingerprint and durable.
The building boards were also colored two-sidedly, creamy yellow and avocado green, bringing a different feeling when seeing from each side.
