The packaging of color lens draws inspiration from Uni-sex. Shedding the figurative styling of traditional counterparts, the packaging adopts abstract geometric patterns to reduce consumer guide and show a strong Bauhaus style, which facilitates users to naturally and directly understand the brand concept of self-expression without being defined. Additionally, each face of the cube box, unique yet echoing each other, symbolizes the feature of Unii - unity in diversity, just as the real world where people keep individuality in commonality. From the Unii space integrating multidimensional factors including brand concept, attitude, proposal and emotion, the design team extracted the development idea of independence as well as unity of openness and sharing, which was then summarized as the brand attitude of connection and independence. Based on that, two topics of “Roundabout” and “Backlight”were designed.
The pattern design in the packaging and color lens inside are uniform to form a harmonious and consistent visual effect. The cut, deformed and reconstructed geometric elements paired with the design methods of cross-face layout and optical illusion caused by light and shadow visually display the deep significance extending from Uni-sex. Such a design closely connects the product, packaging and brand through a casual design language with a sense of infinite connection, providing users with great freedom in imagination and selective purchase.
Besides, the styling of color lens is abstracted into a dot on the “i” in the brand logo, with the colors of pink and blue used to convey the brand attitude - unisex. The pink and blue dots, together with the wide color range of the packaging, lead to a harmonious visual effect, which hints that the various styles of the product can help users shape a personalized and undefined self.
