Bank of Shanghai Flagship Store Design in Financial Street

Located on Beijing’s Financial Street, this project is a flagship bank branch that integrates functionality, humanistic designs and user-friendliness. With an innovative design of function areas, the branch provides customers with comprehensive, targeted banking experience and financial services.

As a branch of a local bank based in Shanghai, the structure centers on the city’s inclusive Haipai culture and adopts a modern minimalist design approach and a modular, function-based layout. Its design presents a visual effect evocative of history and modernity while demonstrating the culture and customs of the city of Shanghai. The interior lighting uses a variety of light expressions to create a bright, soothing environment. Floor-to-ceiling windows made of switchable glass are installed inside the building to weaken the dazzle of natural light and eliminate the interference of external lights to the interior space. With the help of modern decoration equipment, the project ensures a comfortable environment for clients. Layout-wise, the business area and negotiation area are integrated to make use of the limited space. Partitioned by a switchable-glass sliding door, the areas perfectly meet customers’ need for a private talk or negotiation.

In addition, the Wealth Management Center adopts a different decorative design to distinguish from the common area. The use of wood and leather upholstery and a dark color scheme brings an air of seriousness and solemness, and emphasizes the fair and rigorous attitude of the institution, which is conducive to the promotion of brand concept and corporate image and the wining of clients' trust.
