Eastern Aesthetics

This villa is designed on the basis of the ancient literati’s ideal style in the Southern Song Dynastic that creates a new eastern holiday lifestyle. The house is designed with the layouts progressively developed along the central baseline and with the classical craftsmanship of the Master of the Nets Garden in Suzhou, all of which displaying the sequential features of the ancient Chinese architectures in the contemporary house, and applying the aesthetics of Song Dynasty in the house decorations. The designer gives full expression of “literati space of Jiangnan” that exactly shows a mood of eastern mysterious aesthetics.
The splendid entrance expanded inward the main outdoor area of villa, where is decorated with the crafty architectural elements and the elaborate ornaments. The wood rails consistently surrounding the courtyard are captivating. The blue cozy and fashionable garden chairs, as the daylight scattering through wood rails, signify the contrast of classical and contemporary elements.
The design of living room shows the literati’s annual lifestyles in the Southern Song Dynasty. The Jiangnan-style windows made of woods and stones show the symmetrical and vitalizing patterns. Decorated additionally with the white and red sofas, the living room implicitly reveals the classical and luxurious attractions that are minimalistic, detail-oriented, simple and delicate. This villa design project figuratively exemplifies The Travels of Marco Polo integrating the essences of the eastern and western cultures.
The tall Chinese-style wood lattices are adorned along the hallway adjoining the spacious bedroom, in which the delicate floor lights, the classical wooden canopy bed, the elegant floor lamp and the verdant views outside the big Chinese-style windows are accordantly reconciled, where is a cozy sleeping space.
It’s worth mentioning that the customized woodworking joints superiorly brings out the traditional artistry of Suzhou-style furniture.
