//Joint development mode

As a joint development project, how to determine the location of the four towers , plan the shared space, and finally come up with the idea that acceptable to all is the biggest challenges. To solve the problem, coordination to form the design basis with four-parties were regularly organized, while loads of schemes were proposed.

//Diverse expectation on building design

As design companies, the building was expected to be more designed and less commercial, and as headquarters, it was expected to be more dignified and less fancy. Quite straight forward, we mixed them together into one building, the lower part as communicational space to be vibrant, while the upper part as corporation image and city interface to be dignified. By changing the scale of the stacking boxes, a dynamic transition from the horizontal podium to the vertical towers was naturally formed.

// The strategy of design for the city

Shenzhen is a design city, while the clients are four leading design companies in Shenzhen, and we proposed to release the 1st floor as open space for design events.

The project is also the intersection of the greenway network that connects to the surrounding public areas, in a way it is a transition space, thus we proposed a node park on the 2nd floor.

As a win-win solution, design for the city allows more space and events for the public, while provides the clients a new way of branding promotion in respects of social responsibility and design quality.

// Fusion of office, art and nature

As get bored with the ice-cold glass box, our clients expected to have spaces allow themselves to enjoy the full blend of art, culture and nature in the office

To be more cultural, we adopted the methods that commonly used in cultural buildings: space to be more open and interactive; material to be raw and natural, like the fair-faced concrete and timber .To be more open, we create open space on each floor, both the podium and towers, forming a connective green network.
