OCT City Exhibition Center

The project is located in the hinterland of Bao'an, Qianhai, Shenzhen, which is the core of Greater Bay Area in China. It is adjacent to the seaside and has a natural ecological environment. Since the building is presented in a shape of geometric "boxes", the interior combines the attributes of the architecture and uses multiple geometric techniques to create a progressive urban window relationship for the connection between indoor and outdoor. When nature and architecture, city elements and geometric arts are perfectly integrated into the interior, the whole space creates a dreamy and unique experience.



The design of the stair-shaped entrance of the exhibition hall combines the attributes of the building itself, using white and geometric symmetry to form a strong visual impact. The staircase composed of progressive photo frames forms the simple and unique open entrance of the city exhibition hall. Passing through the front desk and going up another level, it is a long and narrow white stair corridor. This area continues the white texture of the entrance. Here, the use of falling windows and skylights complements the natural light, making the interior space and the external natural environment just blended.



On the contrary, the color tone of the main interior space is dark color with warm color lighting, creating an atmosphere of enjoying a quiet and slow life under the city night scene. The main indoor exhibition hall uses the floating box to insinuate the design concept of the city building - the hollow cube installation is hung on the ceiling, like a suspended building, to construct the feeling of a floating city. The irregular wooden grid art wall created by natural and simple architectural techniques brings a dynamic visual effect for the space. Each negotiation and leisure area is arranged in a random order under the junctions of the suspended boxes. The free, comfortable and artistically beautiful fashion furniture and artworks form independent areas, plus hanging green plants, the whole space is more casual and energetic.
