The project is inspired by the El Niño phenomenon, a natural climate phenomenon, the opposite of which is called La Niña, which causes sudden changes in the natural climate and leads to the death of organisms, and it is a huge blow to the fishing industry in coastal areas. Since the industrial, technological and information technology revolutions, mankind has rapidly changed the entire world and the Earth's ecosystems have been severely damaged, particularly threatening biodiversity and air quality. "The author hopes that through the topic of death, people will become aware of the fragility and vulnerability of the natural environment and animal life, and in the face of the deteriorating environment, the author hopes that people will rethink the relationship between humans and nature. Should man be above nature? Should we just demand natural resources? Or should we respect and revere nature? Can people detach themselves from nature? Or should we blindly use high technology to support our lives, with creatures other than humans as dispensable accessories? As we cannot exist independently of nature, it is vital to redefine our relationship with nature and to move away from the old ways of merely taking and to seek a sustainable approach to development. In traditional environmental protection design works, the author usually critiques his own actions from a human perspective, thus calling on people to protect the environment. This work incorporates a third perspective - the perspective of nature - in the hope that people will see more of the factors that lead to the death of creatures , and more deeply comprehend the state of the dead, thus reflecting on their own actions and the actions of others. In the material trials, I used pearlescent pigments, lacquer pigments and waterproof glue to create the effect of simulated fish skin, which is very flexible and malleable and can replace natural fish skin in leatherwork. In this project I have also used a special technique to treat the natural roe so that it remains crystal clear, conveying the near-extinction of the fish after a mass death.
