Watch Hill Cloud Mansion

The project sites near the mountain and river， We hope to return to the site to find a community that belongs to the present, so as to balance human settlements and nature.Living and Traveling in Nature as theme of design element,We use the natural landscape of the site as a brush, the square and circle as the canvas to create an unbounded painting environment.Endowing this small space with different scene functions, integrating modern innovative methods, and creating a pure artistic conception space.Deconstructing the natural landscape with modern methods, reconstructing the spatial order, reproducing the artistic conception of cloud, and creating a modern landscape painting by the river.



The difficulty of the project is to create different spatial feelings in the complex height difference space.We cleverly used the height difference of the site to restored the scene of the space with a natural design language, broke the solidified sense of sequence in the exhibition area, and presented the most authentic state of people walking in nature. Green island, waterfall, bridge, reception pavilion are correspondingly interesting to the whole architecture,paying attention to the retractable and unwinding relationship realized in the process of traveling, and experiencing nature from a high place. Perceiving a different kind of poetry from the visual, sensory and auditory dimensions.



In terms of craftsmanship, the large curved entrance wall, the 19m-long landscape wall, the reception pavilion, waterfall and bridge in the front court are all the challenges in the construction process in this project.In the case of satisfying structure and safety, aesthetics also need to be satisfied. For the large arc-shaped waterscape in the backyard, the control of on-site construction control is also important.
