CAP CAFE

The project is located in Ningbo, Zhejiang, China, and builds a commercial interactive space with cafes as the main operation.
The store area is 48 square meters and the storey height is 4.3 meters. Under the premise of limited area, the storey height is the starting point to enrich the three-dimensional space. Abandoning the traditional construction method of the attic platform, the "building block device" was introduced as the presentation method of the entire three-dimensional space.
The whole space is composed of more than 50 cubes, which are combined into floors, steps, railings, tables and chairs, partitions, etc. through cubes of different lengths; the cubes are connected by stacking to form a load-bearing and suspension structure. , regional division, background art and user seating and other functional forms; the main material is birch formwork, which can control costs well and at the same time obtain natural texture.
The cube that assumes the function of the bar adopts a steel frame structure, making it visually suspended from the ground. The texture is different from the "building block installation", using micro-cement, the line structure is unified with the "building block installation", and the overall vision is richer through subtle changes in materials.
The design is as simple as possible, so that people in the space can use it easily and freely. The biggest surprise after the completion of this design is that the space can be an office interaction venue for adults, or it can be transformed into a game tree hole for children. The changeable use forms extend more possibilities for this fixed space. Participation makes the space richer and more interesting.
