Tranquility

The name of the project, "Tranquility", comes from the space that gives people a stable and tranquil atmosphere. The design team takes subtractive color planning to create the purest imagery. The grayish-blue color blocks and natural material textures are stacked to create a neutral color palette, complemented by arcs to form an ambient and aesthetically pleasing residence. The project is a renovation of an old apartment, and the ingenuity of reducing the beams and columns and emphasizing functionality can be seen in the space. The design team uses black mirrors to modify the protruding beams to extend the visual field vertically and removes unnecessary decorations to keep the space neat and minimalist. As for the function, the client has a lot of storage needs and there are many unavoidable large beams in the space. The design team aligns the cabinet with the beams and arcs to achieve consistency and meet the storage needs.
