75 Broad Street Lobby Lighting

The renovation of the lobby at 75 Broad Street is a fantastic example of how modern lighting technology can seamlessly enhance older architecture.
With minimal architectural modifications, it was up to lighting to make the greatest impact. With updated grazer, chandelier, and sconce LEDs in warm color temperatures, the space was brightened and uplifted while bringing out the warm color scheme. The high-quality fixtures intensified the burgundy, green, and gold paint and features; and enhanced the creamy white marblework. This also allowed the gorgeously painted historic ceilings at 75 Broad to be illuminated, which had never received this level attention and visibility before. Retrofitting and restoring the hefty chandeliers required close work with refurbishment shops, and long lead times paired with the challenge of having to keep the lobby open and operating during the week made for a difficult project, but certainly not one without reward.
