ZEEKR Center | Yangcheng Lake, Suzhou

Located in the highway service area, the Zeekr Center sits next to the lake. With two street-facing facades, the building embraces vantage points in east and south, where passengers in automobiles and high-speed trains can see the billboards clearly. Besides providing a space to relax and 'recharge' for Zeekr car owners, the space also serves as a brand ambassador, attracting potential Zeekr owners with its signature aesthetics and services.

Yangcheng Lake Service Area is known for its design inspired by Soo-chow gardens. To blend in, we came up with the design concept, 'Zeekr · Jiangnan', keeping in accordance with the site’s architecture and natural environment. Design elements inspired by Jiangnan region spreads throughout the space. In the lounge area, a screen with a simple but chic round window can be seen at the end of the curved bar table. It subtly pays tribute to designs of wall openings in traditional Chinese gardens, creating surprise sceneries as people stroll around the space.

The super long curved bar table behind the screen is also filled up with exquisite details. The bar table stretches around the rotunda space, accentuated by a curvy display cabinet behind it. The display cabinet serves both as liquor storage and decorative feature. It is decorated with mock-flying cornice, adding a pinch of traditional flavor into contemporary design. In the background, abstract landscape is painted on acrylic panels, resonating with literati aesthetic traditions in Jiangnan region. The soft light ceiling is one the most important design features, which resemble a ring of ripples. Imagined as a water drop falling into the Yangcheng Lake, Zeekr Center’s spatial design smoothly glides into the surrounding nature.

Like all Zeekr Centers around China, the Zeekr Center · Yangcheng Lake designed by HATCH adheres to the brand’s motto - Stay Cool, Stay Zero - with a combination of 85% of ZEEKR characters and 15% of local features, picturing a modern Jiangnan landscape for 'Generation Zero'.
