It is a comprehensive design project for a residence located in Quanzhou, Gansu Province. With the philosophy of “half life, half art” in mind, the designer positions the overall style of the house as light luxury and modernity by combining elegant furniture and art works, which explains an urban lifestyle: art is life and life is art.
There are two floors in the space. The overall layout is simple and open. The design or art serves to isolate people from the outside bustling world, so as to create an experience space touching the softness deep in heart.
The living room in the center of the first floor is very high and wide-open. It is furnished with imported products from almost ten famous household brands like Bentley Home and Giorgetti, thus creating a comfortable, elegant and natural living environment.
The overall tone of the space is neutral, with “blue” as the main color to show the texture and visual impact of the space. The specifically customized physical painting represents not only the culture, but also the spiritual interpretation of the city. The soft decoration includes materials with various textures such as stone, log, leather, crystal, and cloth: Lalique fruit plate and limited-edition Gardeco sculpture adds an artistic style to the space. The large chandelier with hollow center, which resembles clusters of shining stars, not only highlights the height of the floor, but also exhibits the tension of art. The visual impression varies with the change of light and shadows.
The dining room is for both Chinese and Western purposes, which meets the life and social needs of the current target customers. The round dining table is a symbol of reunion for Chinese people. With artistic chandeliers hanging on the ceiling and decorated with real flowers, it offers a special dining experience. The art paintings of the city’s miniature hanging on the wall, present various images from different angels, which makes the space more dynamic. The children’s activity room covers many elements beloved by the current Generation Z.
