When the wind blows, imagine yourself as the wind from the northeast, along the mountains towards the south, and quietly crawling on the mountains to Hengchun Peninsula, to join the October gathering, with the joyish yellow sand, dancing on the beach of Port of Haikou!

The Hengchun Peninsula, which was originally flat with gentle slopes, now it has some little sharp hills which are over 300 to 400 meters height, just like a torpid giant dragon lying dormant underground.

Perhaps in the past, perhaps in the future, the dragon has always remained in his humble posture, crouching and guarding this beautiful land.

But also in every winter, it summons the distant wind, raising the sand and awakening earth.

People have learned to fear mother nature, and be grateful of its inclusiveness and nurturing to the land. Also, to protect the faith of its, generation by generation.

The dragon, always stay with her.

The artwork takes the shape of the mountain as the main image. The materials are using the structural iron pipes and the rhombic net. It is presented in the simplest triangular shape to avoid excessive interference of lines.

The rhombic net covered by the iron pipe structure which makes the lines connect with each other to form a surface. This is to make the artwork’s surface to form the volume and the texture of the mountain.

The surface is exposed in the air with the original material appearance. With the passage of time, oxidation and rust occur, making the work and the natural environment mutual integration and it creates a dialogue in between.

The triangular shape statues are made of different sizes and different heights, and the staggered arrangement allows the viewers imagine themselves to become a free breeze and to shuttle among them.

As dusk falls, the light effect brings the vitality of the artwork, in which the brightness slowly fades away, making it looks like the dragon is breathing and it is alive.
