Gold & White Elegance

This project demonstrates a wonderful design and a great spatial rearrangement of a 35-year-old house with darkness, narrowness and a poor flow in the space.

To achieve a better flow and visual link, the non-structural wall between the loft and the dining room is torn down. Thus, the living room at the loft and the dining room are integrated into a complete common area without barriers. As for the private areas, the bedrooms are moved backward to settle at the end of the flow to ensure they have adequate ventilation and sufficient daylight. The respectively isolated 3 bathrooms are now perfectly placed together at the center of the floor. After the brilliant design and effective planning, this originally gloomy and confined house becomes a bright and liberated one.

At the loft is a luxury living room decorated with exquisite floral moldings on the walls and the ceiling. The leading colors of white and gold not only build a cohesive visual flow in the entire house but create a classical and romantic atmosphere with a modern touch. Besides, the colors of soft furnishings such as the grass green in the living room, the cyanine blue in the dining room and the pink in the bedrooms mark the different sections of the space, making the visual experience less monotonous.

Living in a classical, romantic yet relaxing house has been the homeowner’s dream. To realize the dream, the design manifests a great combination of elegance and comfort in the master bedroom. Concealed behind the classical symmetrical headboard is a walk-in closet whose entrance is a jib door beside the bed.

With perfect spatial planning, the closet gets great ventilation and plenty of daylight that keeps away the humidity.

All these details serve to enhance a room's classical look and is a step to the homeowner’s favorite lifestyle.

The delicate master bathroom separated by glass dividers has a noble round mirror with classical floral moldings. The spatial transparency provides a sense of security and openness that allows the user to fully relax.
